22 October - 8 November 2025

Based on a true story, Züleyha is the haunting portrait of a woman who was abused, ignored, and forced into silence — by her family, her community, and even the authorities meant to protect her. On the eve of her wedding, Züleyha recounts the abuse she endured and the long aftermath of surviving in a world that refused to see. When she finally tells her story, will it make a difference?

Züleyha was originally written in Turkish by Hüseyin Erdoğan after interviewing the real-life Züleyha. Newly adapted to English by Ezzie Polat, the play brings this powerful story to international audiences for the first time. It is performed by Melissa Kenter, a celebrated Turkish actress known for her work with Kenter Theatre and Organic Stage London, and directed by Barış Apaydın.

Experience a gripping, deeply human story of silence, survival, and finding one’s voice.
