Winston and David

by Robert Lloyd George

The Edinburgh Fringe sell-out returns to the Tabard Theatre for a limited run.

What if the course of history was shaped not by politics, but by friendship?

Drawing on previously unseen family documents, Robert Lloyd George's acclaimed play explores the remarkable relationship between Winston Churchill and David Lloyd George. As two ambitious young politicians navigate love, rivalry and power, their friendship becomes entwined with the decisions that would lead Britain into the First World War.

Funny, moving and thought-provoking, Winston and David offers a fascinating new perspective on two of Britain's most famous Prime Ministers and the personal relationships that shaped history.

Directed by award-winning theatre-maker Nick Hennegan, this acclaimed production returns following its sold-out Edinburgh Fringe run.
