Edinburgh Preview: Maverick Theatre presents a new play by Robert Lloyd George

Winston and David is an intriguing exploration of the complex relationship between Winston Churchill and David Lloyd George, two of Britain’s most iconic Prime Ministers. As they wrestle with love, ambition, and friendship, their bond plays a crucial role as Britain heads into the turmoil of World War I.

Written by Robert Lloyd George and drawing from previously unseen family documents, this play offers a fresh perspective on historical events and personal dynamics that shaped a nation.

Directed by award-winning Fringe regular Nick Hennegan, known for his work on Henry V, A Christmas Carol, and others, the production promises to be a compelling experience.

Following its previews at the Tabard, Winston and David will officially open at the Underbelly, Edinburgh on 3rd August. Please note the preview performances at the Tabard are not open to the press.
