Tramonto (SOLD OUT)
by Tony Traxler
This fast-paced dramedy delves into parental roles and challenges within a chaotic school environment.
31 October - 4 November 2023
Book TicketsVenezia Tramonto, an eccentric music teacher at the local primary, stirs up chaos in this fast-paced dramedy that explores the complex roles of parents both in and out of school. Miss Venezia's unconventional casting 'ritual' challenges the community's understanding of today’s children, forcing parents and teachers alike to confront their responsibilities.
In this engaging narrative, Tim Wright, a lively American dad, and Lucy Edwards, a spirited scouser grandmother, connect as they navigate their kids being caught in the crossfire of Tramonto's antics. The dilemma is compounded by the well-meaning but hapless leadership of Mrs. Conway, the über Head Teacher, and her bumbling Deputy, Mr. Todd.
Will they manage to set things right before it's too late? This new play from local playwright Tony Traxler follows last year's successful run of Ashley. It is scheduled for a limited five-performance run.
Featuring Will Chappell, Neil Dickins, Elena Ferrari, Polly Highton, and Angela McHale. The original song 'Doctor of Love,' with music and lyrics by Elena Ferrari, is arranged and produced by Paul Kissaun. Artwork by Peter Dadswell.
