Jeeves Takes Charge

by P. G. Wodehouse, adapted by Edward Duke

This one-man show by P.G.

11-12 February 2024

Jeeves Takes Charge is a delightful revival of the Olivier Award-winning one-man show by P.G. Wodehouse, showcasing the comedic antics of Bertie Wooster and his ingenious valet, Jeeves. This performance features Sam Harrison, who embodies 22 characters in a tale that highlights the absurdities of high society in the 1920s, perfect for fans of classic British humor and theatrical storytelling.

Harrison captures the essence of a gentleman of leisure, navigating the intricate demands of familial relations while Jeeves cunningly tries to keep his master both unmarried and in good spirits. As Wooster faces the whims of his fiancée, Lady Florence Craye, the play evolves into a masterclass of comic timing and mimicry.

Originally directed by Hugh Wooldridge, the show comes to the Tabard stage for an exclusive run, bringing the witty and whimsical world of Wodehouse to vibrant life.
