Girl Out Of The Blue

By Giles Cole

When seventeen-year-old Abi tracks down the man she believes to be her father, she sets in motion a chain of events that will change two families forever.

Doug is a successful journalist with a wife, children and a carefully ordered life. Beth, Abi's mother, has spent seventeen years protecting her daughter from a truth she hoped would never come to light. But Abi wants answers, and once she steps into Doug's world, long-buried secrets can no longer remain hidden.

Sharp, funny and emotionally charged, Girl Out of the Blue is a compelling new play about family, identity, motherhood and the consequences of the choices we make.

Written by Giles Cole, whose previous work includes The Art of Concealment, The Heart of Things and seven plays for BBC Radio 4, this powerful new drama follows the success of his previous Tabard production, After All These Years.
