DRESSING GOWN

Dressing Gown is a riotous comedy centered around Tom Asher, whose efforts to simply get dressed are thwarted by a series of eccentric visitors. Each encounter tests his patience and sanity, all while he navigates the disaster waiting to unfold involving a revenge-seeking young woman and his best friend.

Tom Asher has two immediate aims: to prevent his life from tipping into catastrophe and to get dressed. As he attempts to do so, chaos ensues in the form of numerous wacky characters who aim to distract and disrupt his progress. As he grapples with these interruptions, the play underscores the significance of the simple act of getting dressed—proving it can be far more complicated than it seems.

Written by Andrew Cartmel, known for his work as a script editor on Doctor Who and his acclaimed crime novels, this one-act farce crackles with energy. Directed by Jenny Eastop of Mercurius Theatre, this production promises a clever and witty experience tailored for those who enjoy a fast-paced comedy.

Take Note Theatre for the Tabard and Thursday Theatre presents this charming show, which runs for a limited 12 performances over the course of 3 weeks.
