Cosmic Healing?

by Panda La Terriere

A tragi-comic tale of a fallen comedy star who runs a failed wellness retreat, exploring themes of enlightenment and self-discovery.

15 January - 1 February 2025

Cosmic Healing? is a tragi-comic tale that blends humor with the absurdities of modern life, centered around Paul John, a fallen bad boy of British comedy turned internet guru. Set at his Cosmic Energy Healing Retreat, attendees hoping to alleviate their earthly troubles discover that he is merely a spaced-out bum living in an orange tent amidst mud and compost lavatories.

When a group of lost souls and neurotics travel to the East Coast of Wales in search of enlightenment, they are pushed to their limits by Paul John’s unconventional methods. As they grapple with dopamine withdrawal and the mess of their surroundings, they must confront whether this is truly an escape from suffering or just a hilariously horrid holiday.

The latest play from upcoming author Panda La Terriere, this humorous tragi-comedy is set to delight audiences with its sharp wit and relatable characters.

Curtain Twitchers & Co. is known for producing fast-paced, original comedies that veer unexpectedly into the supernatural or existential. Their absurdist play, My Neighbours Are Kind of Weird?, had a successful sell-out run at the Drayton Theatre in April 2023 and received a warm reception at the Edinburgh Fringe.
