Book TicketsThe Tabard hosts the World Premiere of Ashley by Tony Traxler.
Ashley is a darkly comic story about family, loss, religion, and office politics. It revolves around a mysterious disappearance in Ohio, where a young boy vanished twenty years ago and left his family unable to mention his name. As the family home faces demolition, an elderly nursing-home resident begins to shout out his name, compelling a quirky group of co-workers to journey to Cleveland and uncover long-buried secrets.
Brimming with Tony Traxler’s trademark wit and keen observations, Ashley is a delightful, poignant, and ultimately uplifting story of familial love. This powerful and thought-provoking play runs for a limited five-performance run at the Tabard.
Local Chiswick playwright Tony Traxler’s previous work includes Snag, which also premiered at the Tabard.
