An Audience with Virginia Woolf

Written and performed by Lucy Stevens

1931. Virginia Woolf takes to the stage to reflect on literature, creativity and the role of women in society.

Drawing on Woolf's novels, essays and personal writings, this acclaimed solo performance brings one of the twentieth century's most influential literary voices vividly to life. Through extracts from A Room of One's Own, Orlando, To the Lighthouse and The Waves, Woolf shares her wit, insight and uncompromising views on art, identity and the freedoms denied to women.

Written and performed by Lucy Stevens and directed by Fringe First winner Margarett Perry, An Audience with Virginia Woolf is a fascinating and intimate encounter with a literary icon whose words remain as relevant today as ever.
