A Ghost of a Chance

A Ghost of a Chance is a gripping domestic ghost story by Nick Hennegan that explores the depths of despair and the lengths a man will go to in order to save his family. It follows Bob, a father who is on the brink of losing everything after losing his job, concealing the truth from his wife and child. When he unexpectedly wins the lottery, a dark twist forces him to confront moral dilemmas that challenge his very humanity.

This play, first performed 27 years ago at a pub theatre in Birmingham, later garnered the National Theatre's Guinness Award at the Edinburgh Fringe. Now revived for the first time, this poignant tale invites audiences to reflect on the fragility of life.

Join us for the TalkBack after the performance on Thursday 17th April, free for everyone. There’ll be a short break after the final curtain—an ideal moment to grab a drink—before we reconvene in the auditorium for around 15 minutes of conversation and insights.

SEATING: Please note row H, the back row, is high bench seating. The auditorium has steps up the centre aisle, so it’s advisable to book at the front for anyone who may have difficulty with steps or heights.
